RADISYS Supplies Embedded Computer for new Tektronix TLA 700
Logic Analyzers

HILLSBORO, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 11, 1997--RadiSys today announced that it is providing the custom
PC-compatible embedded computers for the new Tektronix TLA 700 Series Logic Analyzers, introduced in February 1997.
The first logic analysis tool of its kind to offer digital designers the benefits of the Microsoft Windows 95 operating system, the
TLA 700 Series incorporates custom, RadiSys-designed Intel Pentium(a) processor-based boards.

The PC-compatible embedded computer provides a user interface that is familiar to designers, as well as being fully compatible
with networks and printers through standard PC Card (PCMCIA) peripherals. Two versions of the TLA 700 Series are being
offered: the color bench top TLA 711, and the color portable TLA 704.

``We selected RadiSys as a partner for several reasons -- quick design-to-prototype turn-around times, capability to work in a
joint-development atmosphere and flexible product configuration support,'' said Donald Murray, TLA 700 platform program
manager.

``By incorporating a custom Intel processor-based embedded computer in their newest family of logic analyzers, Tektronix is
able to offer engineers a new level of ease-of-use in design analysis,'' said Charlie Crawford, director of marketing for RadiSys'
Integrated Products Division. ``The 'embedded PC' continues to make inroads in a wide variety of applications, offering the
benefits of the de facto PC standard to industries that haven't historically been able to take advantage of them.''

``Basing our platform strategy on the Window 95 operating system has enabled us to offer our customers benefits beyond
world-class signal analysis,'' said Murray. ``For example, engineers using the TLA 700 do not have to learn to navigate a new,
proprietary user interface.''

Tektronix is a portfolio of measurement, color printing and video and networking businesses dedicated to applying technology
excellence to customer challenges. Tektronix is headquartered in Wilsonville, Oregon and has operations in 23 countries
outside the United States. Founded in 1946, the company had revenues of $1.94 billion in fiscal 1997.
