Whether or not you have the right to kill and eat other sentient Beings is a human rights issue. Many people believe we do not have that right; many people believe we do. What do you believe? Do you believe we have the right to kill any and all sentient beings? Does the right depend on "justification"--food, clothing, pleasure...clearing property for development, etc? Is it a qualified right or is it Absolute? What rights do humans have when it comes to killing other creatures who share most of their genes (or even those who don't)? What gives you the "Right" to kill a pig...an intelligent and thinking creature like yourself? Is it the inabilty of the pig to kick your ass which gives you that "Right"?...or is it something else??
