I think this medicare bill will be a nightmare. It may wipe out the benefits that from private insurance. The new medicare bill could force people into HMOs and it may not cover all prescription drugs. My husband heard on the radio that the bill was rushed through Congress. He said he heard Congress never had enough time to review the documents. I know Daschle said the bill was terrible. The NYTimes printed quite a bit of criticism about the new Medicare bill although they claim in today's editorial that they support it. It sounds like their new executive editor Bill Keller wrote the editorial for support!
