CCSI's Product & Market (FDA Approved late July 1997)
CCSI's Colormate II System (Patent Protected), is an industrial color measurement instrument held against the skin. Skin coloration and luminosity is then scientifically measured. CCSI'S computer and related software analyze color measurements, and assign a color measurement (one of approximately 200 scientific skin color categories).
The Colormate II System, will have vast applications in health care, relating to the non-invasive detection and monitoring of certain disease and disorders in which skin coloration is indicative of underlying health problems, such as infant jaundice (BILIRUBIN disease) and tuberculosis. Because it is non-invasive vs. blood tests, which require needles, it is classified in the AIDS PREVENTION category.
There are 5MM infants born each year prematurely, who often contract yellow jaundice, which manifests itself within 24-36 hrs. To determine if an infant has yellow jaundice, they are currently blood-tested 4-5x a day at a cost of $25, with the obvious associated risks.
CCSI's product is non-invasive, painless to babies, and costs $5 per treatment. There are over 40,000 Pediatricians in the US who would be an enormous market. Every hospital in US is potential customer.
In addition to the medical market, there is also the cosmetic market, dental market (i.e., color matching of teeth & tooth enamel), industrial market, etc. _______________________________________________________________________
