Geez, I forgot about the bookmark. I sold my position in CIBC a bit ago -- far too soon, of course, but I was mad about the Aeroplan renegotiation. Air Canada knew they had CIBC by the short and curlies, and they tugged. It's virtually impossible to use Aeroplan points, Air Canada has debased that currency, but CIBC agreed to pony up more. Before they did that I wrote Hunkin and told him I was getting rid of my Aeroplan Visa and why; and that I wanted to remain a shareholder, but couldn't if they pissed money away chasing that one. The deal they made was short-term thinking, so I sold. Of course the fact that I missed the last several dollars of the run gives them the last laugh.
