In 1963, the most segregated region of the country was the most solidly behind the Democratic Party. In 2003, the most segregated region of the country is most solidly behind the Democratic Party. The region has changed, but the Party has remained the same.

Further, the South, is the only region of the country, where median household income of black households, kept pace with white households (in the South, the % increase of black household income grew more than white households, and in 1990 median black household income was already greater in the South than the median black household income in the midwest) in the 90's - but then again I've told you that before...Haven't I?
