OTOH, when I read that LeMay would regularly order B-52 overflights over Soviet territory with multiple nukes on board, maybe he was just a tad bit too cavalier and provocative to actually have been in charge of SAC. The fact that we aren't all incinerated by now has more to do with Russian patience than with American good sense. ***** I sense that Rumsfield, Powell, and Rice are not part of this, nor are most of the senior military. I completely disagree with you. Rumsfeld is delighted to contemplate the complete domination of the world for his corporate buddies. Powell has become for me the major disappointment of the Bush team. He's a completely spineless yes-man today. He's lost all credibility. As has Rice, who is a pathological liar who is so bad at it that she's an embarrassment to her race, her sex and her nation. The whoppers she attempts on "Meet the Press" or in her press conferences give me the shivers. She's the key whore when Rove and Cheney really need to stoke up the "Big Lie" propaganda machinery. *** I also don't see George H. W. Bush having much to do with these "idealists". Mr. New World Order is just being coy. Don't be fooled. *** Richard Perle was dumped a few months back. Perle may well be damaged goods, but he is still one of the most effective greasers in the DoD hierarchy. Don't be fooled by his "demotion" from Chairmanship of the Defense Policy Board. This worm still infects the DoD apple in a multiplicity of devious internal paths you cannot see from the outside of the fruit. *** I think the adminiatraion plans to exit Iraq (and nation building there) right after the election - What are you smoking, Joe? This administration plans to leave Iraq when Ariel Sharon and Lee Raymond tell them they can.
