North Carolina a real wildcard for a Bush win. Most assume Bush will win it because NC is considered "the south". Raleigh is a tech hub and the technology industry has been killed in this Bush presidency.

Bush Left North Carolina and so did the Jobs
by Storm Williams • Friday November 07, 2003 at 11:34 PM

Bush came to Winston-Salem, NC for a fundraiser and to tell us that we can all be retrained through the community colleges. Is this why he cut community college funding by 23%? Check out the poll running at the local TV station...

Well, Bush has gone, the Apache helicopters have stopped flying over Forsyth County and the jobs are still AWOL.

The protests were good, probably about 1000 but of course not reflected in the media. They were protesting in several places; downtown mostly.

You know, during the first Bush Presidency, I went through retraining because of a botched economy now I am asked to do so again. Exactly how many times are the people of North Carolina going to need retraining? Why is NC left holding the bag with conservative politics?

Anyway, at wxii12.com there is a poll asking if you will vote for Bush in 2004. Bush is losing by about 18%. I guess the protestors have the ear of the community?
