Har har John... Yeah some of the worst driving I've ever seen...

1: not completely... after changing three lanes to get into the left turn lane and approaching the intersection you will see that drivers will typically at that point signal, when the move has already become completely obvious..

2: not entirely true either.. There are some drivers that anticipating a left turn some 5 kilometers ahead will drive under the speed limit substantially so not to miss the turn I imagine. Of course they are now leaving 40 car lengths between themselves and next vehicle... Of course this frustrates following drivers into attempting the right lane pass. Frustration is heightened by and empty bus in that right lane or some poor slob driving slowly where he should be.... in the right lane...

3: yep.

4. Yep... Has happened to me three times in fifteen years. Once at a red light, once at a stop sign, and once at a school crossing...

5. I dunno about that. Car age doesn't seem to be a factor.

6. I hate ABS. Think it sucks. Another lets lower everything to the lowest common denominator scenario..

7. merging on the highways here is atrocious. Many people don't get out of your way to allow you to safely merge.. OTOH even with our VERY VERY LONG merge lanes from on ramps too many people invariably wait until they are on the shoulder to get over.. $hitty drivers all around. They should make it like in Montreal with extremely short, I call em' 'merge or die' ramps. Surprisingly Montreal drivers counter to the Canadian conventional wisdom are statistically from the worst drivers in Canada. Edmontonians and Torontonians have that honour. With the wonderful roads we have in Toronto it is a sad commentary on ability here....

8. Speed limits.. yeah but IMO speeding while I know many stats say speed kills I don't believe it 100%. Same argument as guns kill. Speed makes it worse but is not the cause. It's the cell phones, no signals, and just plain bad driving habits and ability that are the root problem. For some reason Toronto drivers are always surprised every winter when we get .... snow... imagine that... (and that's a whole story unto itself)

9. yeah. That's true. Many Toronto drivers are also rude and stupid as well as lacking in ability.

10. LOL... yeah Especially when it's on the other side of a 10 lane highway stretch at rush hour...

11. Roads are actually quite good up here. That's overblown.

12. yep. like 10.

13. related to 9 ?

14. That's going out of fashion now. Soon they will just shoot you.

15. yeah. Advanced green forget about it by the time the red light runners are done. Where are the cops. Waiting time on seatbelt violations. Sad... It's a really horrendous problem here.

16. Yeah but I see that everywhere..

17. Less so now. See 14.

18. That applies to the entire city. Scarbourough was a nice place to live until amalgamation. The biggest blunder of the lack of common sense revolution....

A month ago a woman in a van flipped me the bird as she slalomed around me at speed on a residential street. Silly me I was stopped for the school bus in front of me with the flashing lights and kids embarking. I guess she was rushing her kids to school... I am soooooo disillusioned by the lack of traffic violation enforcement in Toronto... Man could they make some serious coin.

England was my favourite place to drive, but I never drove in London. I found them to be fast, courteous, good drivers. Parking habits though were abysmal.

Must be something in the air... investorshub.com

Kastel
