Release 'soon' for 100 detainees.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- As many as 100 "cleared" terror suspects from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, are to be released, diplomatic sources in Washington, told United Press International.

The detainees, including at least three juveniles and "several non-Americans" are to be released in two separate batches with one group expected to be released before Christmas.

In all, 660 prisoners from 44 separate countries are being held because they are suspected of links to al-Qaida or the former Taliban regime in Afghanistan.

They detainees have not been charged or been allowed access to lawyers, but 88 have been released since the prison camp was opened two years ago.

Meanwhile, separate deals are being negotiated with U.S. allies Britain and Australia to return their nationals from custody to face questioning and possible trial and imprisonment back home.
