Ray, you cry for " innocent" Japanese civilians who were killed in bombing raids . Do you cry for the young men who died during the Bataan Death march or the 440,000 young American men who gave their lives during WWII. Many of these men went straight from high school to the service - they were not responsible for the policies which led to war - they were innocent victims. I am glad that I will never have to make such a decision but given the choice between the atom bomb and an invasion of the Japanese mainland costing thousands of US lives- I would drop the bomb. mike
