If WiMax is not yet a feasable handheld replacement to 3G, free of unique coverage constraints, why is it being discussed as a threat to 3G deployment already underway?

WiMAX + WiFi + VoIP = voice AND video between hot spots and through RBOCs.

Not enough hot spots yet though. VoIP makes extension of Wi... very enticing.
