Hello EP, Nope, wife not with me on trip as she is busy in HK organizing a winter camp for HK school kids in China for winter break.
My US trip impressions are (a) lots of folks shopping, (b) lots and lots of China-made items, but much under US branding, (c) other than China-made items, cars and gasoline, everything is quite expensive by world standard (incl. food), (d) homes are costly to buy, (e) restaurants are not as full as in the summer time (maybe holiday related, dunno know for sure yet), (f) there seems to be an over-capacity of malls, cinemas, (g) there are lots and lots of big cars using mucho gas, and (h) there are lots of advertisements for credit/loans/debt.
Folks are as friendly as always.
