I agree that the future of the earth/world is not clearly stated in scripture. I believe that Job 14:12 and 2 Peter 3:10 refer to the old heaven and earth and not the new heaven and earth.

I think our disagreement stems from a difference in what we will be in the final state. I think our final state will be purely spiritual. Beyond the ages, I believe God will be all in all of us purely in a spiritual existence. I think if all of the ages end,(and it is so stated in scripture), we will have to exist in a spiritual state only. Nothing physical, only spiritual. Otherwise, we would continue in some sort of heavenly "age".

In a spiritual state, it seems to me that a physical world would be unnecessary.
