First Down Freddie ... aka Flaky Freddie ... aka Touchdown Freddie (finally got one a few weeks back) ... aka Phillie's 'Leon' (like in Budweiser's 'Leon'). << How is Freddie Mitchell doing? >> FANTASTIC ... Well ... at least much better or darned good. He's coming on. Rather than being a shaky 3rd receiver he has worked into a 3 wide-out rotation. He drops less, and gets more separation than in the past, and as a consequence is getting a lot more touches in games and in practice. Local scribes, announcers, commentators, and fans, are really warming to him. His work ethic has improved to match his always positive team oriented outlook and consistently moving mouth. I think what started the ball rolling was attendance at Donovan's ad hoc training camp in Arizona this summer. I expect he'll be back there next summer. A really good guy - a unique character - that could turn into a quality if not exceptional receiver. I think he's a keeper. - Eric -
