Jewel-of-da-Occident,

Of course it is about oil. Who said it isn't?

Well, gawd..... now you tell us! The propaganda machine was in full hysterical denials for months that oil had nothing to do with it. Exactly who are you trying to fool here? The entire BUSH/CHENEY 1984 Disinformation Campaign has completely disowned the notion that a rapacious pack of ex-oil industry CEOs have the least bit of interest in oil.

Re: Saddam didn't have control of oil wealth he would never have become powerful enough to threaten nations,

Whoa! Back up. You are only describing the "blowback" to the realpolitik of BUSH/CHENEY 1984 EMPIREā„¢, Inc, and its predecessors.

Shouldn't you start at the beginning of the story? When Saddam Hussein was a promising street thug in Baghdad in 1959 and the CIA hired him for his first assignment?

Wouldn't it be better if you put Saddam in context as a quisling for the BUSH FAMILY INTERESTSā„¢ instead of acting as a tonto utile, i.e. a "useful idiot" for the Bush Family?

Re: Not to mention that this oil has held the world economy hostage.

Still confused I see. It is the oil duopolists who hold the world hostage. You do recall 1973, right? When the U.S. was supposedly in the midst of a "gas shortage" that was nominally due to an OPEC boycott, that, in fact, there were dozens of crude oil tankers stacking up outside the ship canal at Houston, Texas, cluttering the Gulf as never before or since witnessed? Who caused that crisis? Not the oil, not the Saudis. It was the Republicans who wanted to force the Congress to pass the bill allowing the Alyeska Pipeline to be developed who created that phony gasoline crisis. For strictly political purposes.

Re: Lets get busy developing alternative energy.

That is the most sensible thing I've seen you write in your delusional posts in months. That and, of course, your confession that, indeed, BUSH/CHENEY 1984 attacked Iraq in order to loot it.
