That describes a firefight by well-disciplined and trained troops. Besides training, it takes enormous fortitude to expose oneself to enemy fire to place a well-aimed shot.

Ya gotta respect an enemy like that even though their leaders are stupid to place them in that predicament.

I wonder if their and our press will point out that stupidity to them.
