EDS to Offer 3Com Products To Its Corporate Clients By SCOTT THURM, Staff Reporter of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL Computer-networking-equipment maker 3Com Corp. said tech-consulting firm Electronic Data Systems Corp. would offer 3Com's products to EDS's corporate clients. The deal is 3Com's first with a top-tier consulting firm, as the Marlborough, Mass., company attempts to re-establish a presence inside big companies. EDS is the second-largest tech-services firm, behind International Business Machines Corp. EDS will offer all of 3Com's products, including those produced by a joint venture with China's Huawei Technologies Co. "EDS gives us the reach into the large enterprise that we don't have today," said Mark Slaven, 3Com's chief financial officer.
