I was doing a little "Biotech Surfing" and your interest in ACEL caught my eye. I have been invested in ACEL for some time and there is a fairly active thread on SI. My question is where do you find the preliminary data on the Onconase trails?? Everyone I talk to seems to think this is "too hard to find" data. For its part, the company says it will not discuss specifics but that Phase III is "on track" as is their schedule for NDA.
I personally am of the opinion that the true value of Onconase will not be from Meso or Pancreatic cancer, but from its ability to defeat Multiple Drug Resistance. If this proves true, the potential market for this drug is significant.
Anyone who has followed ACEL would agree with BioPicker that it has had more than its share of problems...most "old news" but some as recent as the Pres resigning last month ("creative differences" stock rebounded in 1 day). But, many believe the science is sound and the market potentially explosive considering the small float (12-14M) . Almost no one follows it, institutional holding is nil etc etc. A real sleeper IF, IF, IF.
Some on the ACEL thread seem well connected to the company. Come join us and share what you have found about the trials. Tom
