maybe, maybe not. one reason for higher stock prices has been the dividend discount model (not that I agree with it) supports higher stock prices with lower interest rates. further, higher interest rates will squeeze the overleveraged consumer, causing a decrease in consumption, which will lead to a business slowdown and lower profits, which in turn will result in lower stock prices.

for the first time in a long time, we may get lower stock and bond prices
