TE, I am well aware of the events of WWII - my comments arose from the debate about the use of the Atom Bomb. You are trying to read something into my comments that is not there. I am well aware of the German atrocities, holocaust and Waffen SS , their conduct on the Eastern front. The firebombing of Dresden is very controversial - the death toll was comparable to an atom bomb. The axis started it the allies finished it. On the whole the end justified the means. Mike
