I believe you have an "age" in your understanding that I do not.

I have this age - the Gospel Age which is the New Heavens and Earth Age.

And the eternal state - where Christ and the resurrected righteous now dwell.

Those who now die go directly to be with Christ is they are elect.

The rest go to the lake of fire.
