The whole statement was quoted here on the thread the other day. At any rate, if I haven't been clear enough, SAddam has used unconventional methods, and plainly works against us. Saddam wanted to go on, we needed to stop him cold because 911 showed us what can be done by lesser powers than he(presumably lesser, only if he had no part or foreknowledge).
Re: "...it is not a reason to go to war. Do you think otherwise?"
Indubitably, yes. Of course the reasoning goes much deeper, which you'll recall from being chastised for ignoring it. When a man gets in your face with threats, it is wise to react with confidence and strength, and soon. Yes, just as intelligence agencies perhaps should have uncovered the 911 plot after being allegedly adequately fore-warned, when a powerful and hateful man warns us so strongly as Sad Damn Who's Sayin' did, you ought to check him out closely if you have 09/11/01 in your heart. The failure to do so(soon) would be eminently more ridiculous than our failure, despite trying, to uncover the 911 plot in time.
