Hi Jay, first of all, let me apologize.
They say cynicism is the last refuge of the idealist, but I bet bitterness is right up there, too. I LIKED doing science. I'm really good with numerical models, and hoped to make a career out of it. Just didn't work out, and here I am. I feel like I dumped some of my frustration on you unfairly. Sorry.
Anyway, I don't know which of your cute little Chinese phrases means "irreversible change", but it sure looks like we're smack dab in the middle of it. Watching base metals, the dollar, gold, and my beloved silver, we appear to be progressing from situation "A" to situation "B" fairly steadily and smoothly.
Speaking of silver, I have committed the cardinal trading sin of falling in love with an asset class, not a stock, but an element, number 47. What's more, the world has revered it in times of stress before, and one day (probably not so far away) will again.
