News on AMAT. Applied Materials Inc. (AMAT) 90 1/4 +3/4: semiconductor equipment manufacturer posts a fiscal 3Q operating net of $0.77 a share, nine cents ahead of the First Call mean estimate; on a net basis, company earned $0.98 vs $0.92 a share.... Posted this on the Tech Options, reposting here for the reading pleasure on my Idea friends. Trading up 1-3/8 in the aftermarket, lot of new orders. Looking goooood <ggg> Now if the bond market behaves and the CPI, PPI come inline - we are off to the races again. Hopefully this will have a +ve effect on the struggling techs. Regards, Taqi
