Turner Valley farmout agreement with Berkley Petroleum

Curlew Lake Resources Inc (CWQ) Shares issued 20,129,526 1997-08-11 close $0.16 Tuesday Aug 12 1997 Also Berkley Petroleum Corp (BKP) Mr Robert Pincombe reports Curlew Lake Resources, together with its partners, has entered into a farmout agreement with Berkley Petroleum pertaining to oil and gas lease interests in the Turner Valley area of southwestern Alberta. A drilling rig has been contracted for the first earning well. Drilling is expected to commence in August and should take 60-80 days to reach total depth at approximately 10,000 feet. The well is intended to test the regional Mississippian Turner Valley formation for oil. Berkley will be the operator of this program. Curlew will have a 2.5% interest before payout and 4% after payout. This farmout is in addition to the farmout to Imperial Oil Resources as previously announced in Stockwatch January 24 1997 covering additional acreage held by Curlew Lake and partners in the Turner Valley area. Berkley is also participating in that program as an equal partner with Imperial Oil. A well licence application has been submitted for each of the first earning wells on both of the above programs.
