Glenn, I'd like to ask you a stupid question: Do you think the market is at the beginning of a minor or a major correction by your 20 year experience on the stock market? Or will we most likely get it over with pretty soon? I appreciate and value your insightful "guess". Will, The market is in a correction as far as I am concerned. It seems most investors are looking for a reason to sell. They are looking for a reason for the market to go down. No one is focusing on a reason to go up. Today's bond movement was a good indication of that. There will likely not me much in tomorrows report that indicates strong inflation but the bonds dropped at day's end as it did Monday too. I am not guess this to be a huge correction. There is too much money going into the market from the baby boomers. The money has to go somewhere and baby boomers by nature are not bond buyers. If we use the DOW as an indicator(I dispise the DOW), I believe the lowest we are going to see is around 7700 and then a move back to here. The networkers are recently getting battered due to the announcment by Ascend. It seems as thought that spilled over to COMS, CSCO, etc. I doubt the networker's would have sold off at all even during a market correction had Ascend not made this annoucement. I wonder if Ascend booked a lot of July business in the quarter ending in June since they would not have made their numbers due to Rockwell's blunder. Glenn
