Businessweek says programmers are working for Indian level wages now... but we knew that, of course.

If you want to stay cutting edge, maybe you ought to move on to jobs that require higher education and skill levels and are harder for Indians to replace. Sounds like programming has become a commodity. <edit>: Or, the Indian educational and economic culture is developed enough to be competitive in your industry. Kudos to them.

You sound like what we've come to know as a "special interest." You can't wait to get dems in the White House and Congress so you can push for protectionist measures for your own personal welfare and obsolete, formerly high-tech jobs.
