<<DAMN the fellow MUST be doing SOMETHING RIGHT?>>

Gee JDN, weren't you just explaining the business cycle to someone who wanted to give Clinton credit for the last expansion?

Seems like you're talking out of both sides of your mouth.

What is worth noting is that during the Reagan era expansion we ran ever increasing deficits. That's just terrible fiscal management. Imagine a company that loses money during the good times? Out with the CEO.

Clinton, with the help of George Bush Sr., put our fiscal house in order and during the Clinton era expansion we actually dramatically reduced the deficits and even ran surpluses if you believe the OMB and CBO.

But now Bush is back to the old fiscal incompetence. We're entering another economic expansion but we're losing money like it's going out of style, like a company going out of business.
