Ray,

For all practical purposes I quite watching TV close to 30 years ago. The programming then was far superior to what it is now. About 5 years ago I tried a "risk free" trial digital cable offer on the assumption that with 120 channels to pick from, there just HAD to be something on that wasn't pure garbage. It took me about 2 weeks to become disgusted enough to have the cable company come back and pick up their junk. IMO the broadcasting companies started from the bottom a quarter century ago and have made fantastic progress in making new lows on a consistent basis.

As I see it, you have to have media before it can be considered liberal or conservative. One solution might be to make a list of sponsors advertising in the segments you don't care for, and make a special effort to boycott their products.
