Ya, that Clinton guy. Truth is I voted for him the first
time. I wasn't happy with Bush Sr - I bought into the
liberal media & Clinton's BS about the economy & Bush
doing nothing about it..... although we now know the
economy was picking up nicely at election time.

At the time I liked Clinton less than Bush. A smarmy
reputation won't endear me to anyone. Clinton's platform
was moderate enough for me, but I did have a personal
stake in the matter.

One thing that was getting more steam was the talk of
eliminating the Dept of Education by Republicans. That
meant I'd lose my job..... Sooooo, I pinched my nose &
voted for the lesser of the two favoring change over the
perception of the status quo.

I was wrong. No doubt about it. At least I admit my
mistakes & try to learn from them.

FWIW, I saw firsthand how the government changed under
Clinton. That alone was sufficient reason to vote against
him the second time, even if it meant my job. The fact
that he proved to be smarmy, perfected the politics of
personal destruction & was creating an environment where
lying & deception were acceptable behavior only made the
decision easier.

I voted against him the 2nd time & left government because
it had become a welfare state for a large portion of the
payroll & a gulag for certain others, depending on your
Affirmative Action status or your connection to the 'good
ole bys', ET AL.

And no Lizzie, I didn't perceive it that way. I lived it
first hand.
