Clinton was attacked on personal issues and was persecuted for being a great president, however, nothing has been done about Bush for being one of the worst presidents and sending thousands of Americans to their death needlessly. And the reason? The Republicans control the Congress. Without question the impeachment was a partisan effort. Did Clinton screw about lying about his affair? In hindsight, perhaps. Did that mean he should be impeached? Obviously ridiculous. In any kind of similar perjury case prosecutors would have never filed a case. Does that mean the Republicans in Congress would have stopped at that point if Clinton told the truth? Very Doubtful.
