I didn't. I clearly said the budget deficit needs attention, and would not exclude "off-budget" issues like social security from attention either. But saying they are (or will eventually be, assuming nothing changes) a problem and suggesting solutions are hardly the same thing. There was much more whining from the left over the recent Medicare bill because it didn't create ENOUGH of an entitlement than because it created too much. To the left, the "solution" on health care is for the government to spend MORE, not less. That or just take it over entirely in some giant socialist experiment. The left is also lined up to fight any genuine reform of social security, BTW. So, what do you suggest?
