When gold spiked up in 1999 on the announcement of the Washington Agreement (limiting European CB gold sales) he pleaded that we shouldn't sell at the top. I did and parted ways with Bill Murphy at that point. Gold and the gold stocks did a 100% retracement of that spike. He also was a big promoter of Greenstone Resources which he touted straight to virtually zero. Ouch!!! Regards, vt
