You seriously believe he thought he could put up a good conventional fight against the US??? Of course not, which is why I believe he fought a rear guard action all the way to Baghdad and then had his troops , ie 60,000 Republican Guards , melt away with huge weapons caches we can't even guard when we find them. We are seeing the result of that strategy now.

UK contributed 40K troops, Aussies sent 2K, we started out with 300K
