This is one thing that will probably happen by evolution rather than revolution at this point. You have to admit, they've climbed out of the hole dug by Chairman Mao amazingly well. The death toll left by that idiot is stupefying.

On militarily invading Taiwan, they won't do it above all if it were to destroy the economy on the island. I just don't think that kind of thing is remotely in the cards. The economics of the situation are why North Korea is not being dealt with decisively - the cost will exceed the German reunification, both to South Korea but also to some extent China due to the flux of refugees. And NK is a nice way of needling the USA.

Muslim terrorism is the major near term problem the West needs to contain and deal with.
