Bush might conveniently refuse my request but not the request of congress and not the request of an independent committee which he has, to this date, not allowed....what's he hiding? Regarding Congress, he is probably unwilling to allow the political feeding frenzy that Democrats are itching to have, at least not during a presidential election cycle. It is very wise because even if there is nothing there, the buzz alone will create problems for his candidacy. Bush would be a fool to allow an investigation. He cannot win anything from it. Dean, on the other hand, is applying for the job of President. If he refuses to allow people to see records of his past experience, he will be hammered - no doubt about it.
