Qwest is a company chosen for initial use of the Internet phone protocol VoIP. They launch it in Minnesota Dec 8. Similar service is offered by Vonage, a privately held NJ company. Qwest expects to roll out the service in all 14 of its local service states in the West & Midwest by the end of 2004.
