The name Allah originates i believe from some semitic Ur-tongue common to both arabic and hebrew, and means simply 'the lord' .... corresponds to Elohim in hebrew, 'al' being the article 'the' in arabic, as is 'el' in hebrew Good post 2M, we could all reflect that we have way too much tribalism in our pasts .... got to lighten up on it, bit by bit, get pragmatic, trim back the sharp edges of exclusivity from the irrational belief structures, until we can dispense with them entirely .. a Menschenstaat or two in strategic places might help in this .... sort of set an example for the various JustUsAndNotYouFilthyBuggersstaats
