Take a look at this DeBeers report on Victor. I've just come across it yesterday. It had some interesting info, I will summarize these points later.

on page 10 they have a colour 3d model of Victor - look at the number of holes they poked into that thing! No wonder they spent so much to date. Also look at the economics! To think after all these years that's the best they found on their own in Canada.
