There are definite advantages to a quiet board. I can recall the days when we had a number of irrelevant posts that were posted to create doubt in Q shareholders. Since then the signal to noise has gone up significantly. On the issue of SI being quiet overall that is probably true. I think the old posters were grandfathered in and the new posters have to pay a fee, but I can't find the details posted anywhere. I don't think that is a good idea - especially if it keeps some technology experts away who have important things to say. There are some contributors on SI who provide much more value added information than they should pay in a fee. George D.
