Unfortunately, the hand of government will not want to lose the tarriffs, fees, taxes, etc., and phone calls VOIP will be "regulated" under the guise of "health, safety and welfare." Gotta laugh at those who naively think that this won't happen. Now - the regulations may be different but the costs will be equivalent or maybe even greater based on volume than the current POTS.
