<<classic election-year posturing>> This is what I keep saying here to the likes of AC Flyer.

Representative democracy with this recurring, regular purchase of votes by politicians needs to change. The very fact that politicians throw care to the wind to win their re-election is the cause of the lack of action.

Once elected, they push the problems to the next administraton. This vote-buying process is no longer tenable. It appeals to the lowest level of the countries' population. It seeks to get support from the people whom less know what is the real situation of the country and the actions to be taken. hence the real issues are relegated and thew action is centered alomng sound bytes and muck throwing, which is the level the ignorant masses understand.

What we are seeing, right now, in front of our eyes is the US administration seeking re-election by playing for the ignorant populace of the country. It worked before. It won't work this time. It only goes ythe Jay is saying it goes.
