We had nearly 3000 patients in the psoriasis trials. Most will probably continue on Raptiva, we know many have requested to remain on it while waiting for FDA approval. Add in a few friends with psoriasis, or doctors that are impressed with their patients recovery and we start with momentum.

We have seen on psoriasis boards where Raptiva is discussed and it seems to be better received than Amevive. Word is getting out there. I expect "large" sales at first as these folks clamor to get approved for Raptiva....then a slow build up after that as other psoriasis sufferers and their doctors hear about the results.

We should haven't any problems manufacturing enough Raptiva. If there is suddenly too much demand XOMA can be used to produce the extra needed....then there is Serono. Anyone know if they are producing Raptiva or buying theirs from DNA?

We should begin reading about early results in the psoriasis newsletters. One I keep up with the author was stopping Amevive and giving himself several weeks to clear it out of his system. Then he was going to try Enbrel...but has changed his mind. He has decided to start Raptiva in early January. What made him change his mind?? He doesn't say, maybe word in the psoriasis grapevine, his doctor, info he has read....whatever it is another small indication that Raptiva is a serious competitor.
