Dean is ahead because he monopolizes the anti-war left. If four other prominent candidates were running on the left, Dean would be an also ran but he got lucky. He got lucky because Bush's war failed. But Dean didn't really have a clue about the war. He admits he only took his position because of some advice from advisors. Bottomline, if you want Bush II, support Dean. All he is is a very big protest candidate. Protest candidates never win.
