Actually, sophisticated observers realize that the left and the right both have the same goal. The elimination of repression and tyrannical government. It's not so hard to understand if you only had a brain.

Marx philosophized about the communistic government "withering on the vine". Libertarians who regard themselves as right wing have exactly the same goal in mind. So do anarcho-syndicalists like the Mondragon Cooperatives or their precursors, the trade unionists of Barcelona who crafted not only cigars but intensely human political philosophy in the 1930s.

George Bush is the ultimate statist. He believes (as none of the rest of us do) that all power should reside within a repressive government with an elitist agenda led by a figurehead and presented on electronic screens to a narcotized populace.

Re: Irrational.

Only the narcotized and mesmerized masses are irrational. Bushista insiders know that the game they play is for control of every asset a greedhead might desire, they have a rational goal of stealing the world. As a libertarian and free spirit, I'm opposed to the very essence of what Bush is perpetrating. I, and many like me, simply want to be able to hold onto our piece of the pie and not be forced to surrender it to the Bush Mafia.

And then there is American Spirit. What can I say? "We don't believe a word you say."
