Hi Jay:

I wish I have a better understanding -or the guts <g>- to follow some of your moves.

Can you (as well as other people on the thread) be so kind to read my post here and give my some suggestions re: analyst with an international perspective? TYIA

Umbria eh? I should have known. I love Umbrian even more than Tuscany: there is a bit more drama on the countryside and between the peaks where castles and monasteries dominate the lush valleys.

I must agree with Jill about “Under the Tuscan Sun”. Beautiful scenery, but Hollywood stereotyping galore!
I mean, there had to be the shallow Latin-lover with no other name than Marcello (our beloved Mastroianni would have grinned at this). There had to be the contrasting Italian Family Man all church and goodness. And of course there had to be the nut, superstitious, little and hold Italian lady, etc., etc. Just getting annoyed with this sort of stuff. Having read some of your comment on your travels, I am positive you totally understand why.

Ciao and cheers - Anna
