Frank, Don't worry about the market. Look at me, now I am the one to tell you not to worry and it's me who is on all this margin.ggg. Just look where your portfolio is compared to mid May and you must be smilimg. Even if the market should lose 10 % or more, which I don't envision, not counting any drastic economic changes, we will still be ahead. I am not doing anything as far as Intel is concerned. If the market should go down a lot, I will sell some short term stocks I picked up within the last couple of weeks, in order to stay abreast of my margin.
Amat came out with real good earnings and is up over 6 points in after hours. If the numbers coming out tomorrow stay in line, this Amat news should help the market. I was surprised that the market tanked like this. The retail number coming out in the last hour before the market closed, helped to send the markets down.
I was surprised that hardly anyone was on the thread, while the market was open. Only billwot and I were holding the Fort down. I guess a lot of our contributors were busy selling and did not let us in on it. Mainly in Rambus, but I am holding on anyhow. I only have 100 shares and might pick up some more, if it goes much lower. I hope no one got hurt in that stock. A little news on it would have been nice. I heard later in the day that it evidently hit it's target price for the year 2000, so I guess everyone panicked and took their profits. By the time I heard about it the market was closed, otherwise I would have posted it. I had been wondering why it was down like this. You did not pick up any Rambus with all our talk about it? Unless it was picked up in the last couple of days everyone should be ok. I think I adressed both of your posts. Btw, here is an interesting articles:
