Hi, Libby,

Not sure what to make of MEDI here. They are rebating, which helps (anecdotal story of Long's Drugs selling it for $35 after rebate), but the high initial price scared off insurers, who won't cover it. That's not likely to change during the course of this flu season. I would guess the season would have to be really, really severe for MEDI to do well. However, there are enough folks with the kind of money to buy FluMist and sell out their 5 million doses. They just have to be sufficiently scared. Hard to call; you're betting early on the severity of an epidemic, no matter which way you play it. Personallly, I'm staying away, long or short.

There is some discussion on the Biotech Valuation thread. Peter is much smarter than I.
