Rarebird, isn't call buying a bullish sign? (and put buying a bearish sign?). If true, then the call buyers are bullish, and the stockholders bearish. Assuming the option traders are the savvier traders, then you expect the stock to rise soon. Is this what you are saying, or am I missing your point with respect to the options buying and the drop in stock price?
